Kolkata: The Keshpur area of West Bengal has been a strong fortress of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). However, ahead of the Panchayat elections, the factionalism of party leaders in Anandpur and Keshpur in West Medinapur is increasing the tension of Mamata Banerjee's party. Mamata Banerjee's nephew and TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee's mega rally is scheduled to be held in Keshpur on February 4.

Before this rally, the top leaders of TMC want the leaders to stay away from unnecessary rhetoric and verbal attacks on each other. Party veteran Manas Bhuyan has warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in internal fights. Ahead of TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee's panchayat election rally scheduled to be held at Keshpur in Paschim Medinapur on February 4, senior party leader from the area Manas Bhuyan has warned local party workers to resolve internal conflicts. Bhuyan told party workers that strict action would be taken against those involved in internal disputes, noting that maintaining a good image was important.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, senior TMC leader Manas Bhuyan described the preparations for Abhishek Banerjee's rally as complete. He has said, 'Though it is unfortunate, sometimes disputes happen even in large families. Keshpur is a big and strong citadel. Today we have raised the slogan together. Keshpur will be peaceful, democratic, and movement-oriented.'
