Kolkata: The Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal is going to implement a new dress code in government schools in the state. According to the information, the dress of students of all government, semi-government and government-aided schools in Bengal will be blue and white. The new dress code will also have the 'Biswa Bangla' logo of the Bengal government. It was designed by CM Mamta Banerjee herself.

According to a government order, the new uniform will be supplied by the MSME department of the state. Let us inform that the white shirt dress code has been prescribed for boys from pre-primary to class 8 with white shirt and navy blue pants and for girl students with navy blue frock and salwar kameez. Along with this, the logo of Biswa Bangla will be on the pocket of every dress. Even the school bags being provided to the students by the state government will bear the logo of Biswa Bangla.

The government order states that students from pre-primary to class 8 will get 1 half pant and 1 full shirt. Girl students from pre-primary to class II will get two sets of shirt and tunic frock. Two sets of shirt and skirt will be given from class III to V. Whereas from class 6th to 8th two sets of salwar and kameez dupatta will be provided. Let us tell you that in the midst of the ongoing hijab controversy in some parts of the country, this decision of the Mamta government is being considered very important.
