Lucknow: A sensational case has come to light in the Nawabganj area of Prayagraj. The body of animal trader Rahul Tiwari (42) was found hanging in a rooftop dumping in Khagalpur village under the Nawabganj police station area, about 37 km from the city, on Saturday morning. The blood-soaked bodies of his wife Preeti (38), daughter Mahi (12), Pihu (8) and younger daughter Pahu (5) were found lying on the bed in the room. Preeti and the three girls were brutally murdered by slitting their necks. The death of five members of the same family created a stir in the entire area.
On receiving the news, ADG, IG, DM and SSP rushed to the spot. The investigation, which was started from the angle of murder, changed after receiving the suicide note. A two-page suicide note has been recovered from the body of Rahul Tiwari who was found hanging from the snare. Rahul has blamed his in-laws for the entire incident. He has written the names of many people including his brother-in-law Pintu, Chandrashekhar. He and his in-laws are facing trial over the house and land. The weapon with which the necks of Preeti and the girls were cut was found in the onion box in front of the house. The police believe that Rahul, in a fit of rage, first killed his wife and daughters and then hanged himself. Police have detained eight members of Rahul's in-laws, a resident of Kaushambi.
SSP Ajay Kumar says that the suicide note is a reference to suicide after the murder. Post mortem of the body is being conducted. On the complaint of Rahul's elder brother Munna Tiwari, the police have registered a case against Rahul's in-laws.
