The three-day event, which takes place April 25-27, will bring together government, industry, and academics to discuss a strategy for the sector's next 25 years. the administration is working to make healthcare more affordable and accessible said Mandaviya.
"Medical colleges have doubled, and MBBS seats, which were in the range of 55,000 seats last year, will go up to 1 lakh this year...similarly, 1.17 lakh health and wellness centres have been established across the country...district hospitals are being strengthened, and AIIMS is being built for tertiary needs," the minister said.
Mandaviya went on to say that the government has the power to sell pharmaceutical products all over the world and to treat people from all over the world at healthcare institutions all throughout the country. "We can take care of it holistically and comprehensively... we're brainstorming," he added. He said, Modi government has been able to give health insurance to nearly 50 million individuals across the country. The government favours industry while being pro-poor and pro-farmer.
