Mandla: An encounter between police and Naxalites took place at Motinala police station in Mandla district. It is being told that 2 Naxalites have been killed in this encounter. According to reports, these include a woman and a man. This fact has been confirmed by Home Minister Narottam Mishra himself. He has also congratulated the police team for this success.

In his statement he said that two Naxalites have been killed in the joint action of Mandla and Balaghat police. Both have rewards of 14–14 lakhs. According to reports, the police has recovered 3 guns, walkie talkie as well as other material from this incident. The incident is being reported as late last Friday. The involvement of Hawk Force personnel is being said in this case. ADG Venkateswara Rao is leading this campaign and the search operation is still going on in the jungle.

Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, "the ongoing campaigns against criminals in Madhya Pradesh are becoming successful one after the other". Not only this but he also said that 'Policemen who kill Naxalites will also be honoured'.
