Bangalore: Police have found shocking evidence in the autorickshaw blast case in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Karnataka Police has said that Mohammad Shariq, the main accused in this blast, was living as a Hindu, hiding his real identity (Muslim). Police have also said that Shariq was using a mobile SIM card issued in the name of a Hindu man hailing from Bellary. He had put a picture of the statue of Lord Shiva in the profile of his WhatsApp. So that he can hide his identity.

According to the police, when Mohammad Shariq was living in Mysuru, he spoke the Kannada language without using the tone of Urdu. Along with this, he used to celebrate all Hindu festivals to socialize among people. Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Sood on Wednesday said that the probe into the blast in an auto-rickshaw in Mangaluru will be officially handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He said the main accused, Mohammad Shariq, was aimed at devising enmity between communities.

The DGP has told that the purpose of the terrorist was to create differences between the two communities, there is no doubt about it. When there is a blast, tensions between communities increase, be it Hindus, Muslims, or Christians. Mohammad Shariq's aim was to destabilize the country. His intention was certainly to disturb communal harmony and unity. State Home Minister Araga Gyanendra along with DGP Praveen Sood visited the spot located on the outskirts of the city. He also went to the hospital where auto driver Purushottam Pujari is being treated.
