New Delhi: Congress leaer Manish Tewari moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha on Friday to discuss the topic of the border situation with China before the start of the ninth day of Parliament today. The Congress leader said that 17 rounds of negotiations between India and China had taken place with "little result" in a letter dated March 24.

China has been engaged in what can only be called a steady land grab since April 2020. There have been seventeen rounds of unsuccessful Commander-level negotiations between India and China. China has been constructing important infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and military housing, throughout this time. He added that China's ongoing aggressiveness is intended to alter the current situation at the border.

"The fighting in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang Sector was yet another example of China's ongoing aggressiveness intended to alter the status quo on the border. Furthermore, as seen by the clashes that occurred in Arunachal Pradesh, about 2000 kilometres from the scene of earlier clashes, such aggressiveness is no longer restricted to a specific geographic area. There is rising concern that China may not return to the pre-crisis position, which will significantly harm India, according to the letter.

He also emphasised the substantial trade surplus China continues to enjoy with India despite the dispute.
"Despite this, since the military clashes started in 2020, China's enormous trade imbalance with us has increased significantly. The letter said, "The trade deficit for India was USD 101.02 billion, exceeding the USD 69.38 billion number for 2021.

Manickam Tagore, a Congress member, has also announced an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to debate the "threat" to Indian democracy in addition to him.

"To discuss the threat to the Indian democratic system posed by denying eight days of speaking time to 18 opposition party leaders, and for Rahul Gandhi to respond to the honourable minister's fabrications regarding the desire of opposition MPs to raise concerns about the activities of fraudulent Adani Groups in Parliament and call for JPC. fabricated accusations against Rahul Gandhi to prevent him from speaking in the House of Representatives," he claimed in the letter.

In order to examine the revocation of the Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol against the wanted man Mehul Choksi in the Rajya Sabha, AAP Member Raghav Chadha has given a notice suspending activity in the Parliament.

In the letter, Chadha stated that the purpose of the meeting was "to discuss the withdrawal of the red corner notice issued by Interpol in the name of the fugitive economic offender, Mehul Choksi, who is involved in the fraud of Rs 13,500 crores, on account of Indian Government's failure to put a strong case before Interpol and the inability of the

Government of India in extraditing Mehul Choksi."

A suspension of business notice pursuant to Rule 267 has also been issued by Congress MP Jebi Mather to discuss the alleged involvement of government in "supporting" the Adani Group.

In the letter, Jebi Mather stated that the purpose of the discussion was "to discuss government's role in promoting the Adani Group, including through inaction on serious corporate fraud, political corruption, stock-market manipulation and financial mismanagement, illegal coal mining allocations, amending rules and regulations to allow bidding of six airports, etc."

Pramod Tiwari, a Rajya Sabha member for the Congress, has also requested a suspension of business under rule 267 so that the government's "failure" to form a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to look into the Adani Group issue can be discussed in the Rajya Sabha.

The budget session's second leg has been repeatedly interrupted. The ongoing gridlock has caused adjournments in both of Parliament's houses. As the BJP has been pressing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to retract his comments made in the UK, the opposition has been calling for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the Hindenburg-Adani controversy.

The second leg of budget session commenced on March 13 and will end on April 6.
