He further said that 'Amrit Mahotsav' is not a political programme but a programme of all Indians. National Handloom Day, which falls on 7th August, is an occasion when we can do it with effort. There is a very historical background associated with this day. It was on this day that the Swadeshi movement started in 1905. Handloom is a huge source of income in rural and tribal areas of our country.
