A film is going to be made soon on former Goa Chief Minister and Union Defense Minister, Manohar Parrikar. His son Utpal Parrikar has also approved and signed an agreement for this biopic of him. The film will be produced by Go Goa Gollywood Production and the production house has also spoken to Utpal Parrikar about legal rights.

The biopic film can be released next year on December 13 on the birthday of Manohar Parrikar. According to the information released by the makers, the film will be produced in Hindi and Konkani. Parrikar died on 17 March this year after a long battle with cancer. Producer Swapnil Shetkar told news agency PTI that the film will focus on Parrikar's political and personal life. He told that the film will also show controversies along with Parrikar's achievements. Shetkar said that the film will focus more on the personal life of Parrikar before becoming Chief Minister for the first time in the year 2000, which is known by very few people.

It is also being told that work on the film has already started 3 years ago when he was assuming the charge of the Defense Minister of the country. Parrikar was the Defense Minister of the country from 2014 to 2017. He then made a comeback to Goa politics in 2017, when the BJP did not get an absolute majority in Goa.
