In a recent interview to a web portal, actor Manoj Bajpayee said, "He cannot understand why Asif did this. He was living in peace." He also said, "He will remember his smiling face, which did not have the look and attachment of the big city."
Manoj remembers Asif as a peace-loving person. On Asif's decision to stay in Dharamshala away from the big city life, Manoj said, "It was a courageous decision. I appreciated him that he chose to live in the mountains, keeping his happiness and peace at the highest." Talking about Asif, his body was found in his two-story house in Dharamshala in the afternoon. He lived there for 5 to 6 years with a female friend of his.
