Actor Abhishek Banerjee has deeply mourned the death of Asif Basra on Thursday. He had worked with the late actor in the web series Paatal Lok and he is unhappy with Asif's suicide. He has also talked about this recently. Abhishek worked as a casting director for a few days. He was the one who gave Basra a chance in 'Once Upon in Time in Mumbai' and 'Knock Out'.
Recently Abhishek said, “These were my early days in the industry, I met Asif Ji through my senior Gautam. He cast Asif Ji on Black Friday. After that, we cast him in many commercials, TVCs, and most recently in Paatak Lok." Abhishek also said, "It is very sad. I have known Asif Ji for many years and we were fortunate to have cast him in many projects. He was a great actor and a kind man. "
It is also said at this time, 'Asif Basra had leased property in McLeodganj, Upper Dharamshala about five-six years ago and he used to come here regularly.'
