According to the official information received from the State Police, 'On the information of the presence of Maoist cadre under Aranpur police station area of ​​Dantewada district on April 26, the DRG force was dispatched from Dantewada for anti-Naxal operation, which returned after the operation. Because of this, Maoists detonated an IED on the Aranpur road, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 DRG jawans and 1 driver involved in the operation.' According to the received news, an encounter has also taken place between police and Naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the Maoists also blew up a pick-up vehicle of the jawans. The news of some jawans being injured is coming out.

Reacting strongly to the incident, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has said that Naxalites will not be spared under any circumstances and Naxalism will be rooted out. He said, 'We have received this information and it is sad. I express my condolences to the families of the jawans who have been martyred. This fight is going on in the last phase and the Naxalites will not be spared at any cost. We will end Naxalism in a planned manner.'
