Adilabad: There is a demand these days for the release of revolutionary writer and leader Varavara Rao. According to the information, the Maoists have called for a Telangana bandh. In view of this call, today, on Saturday, the police in the state have increased patrolling more in the affected areas. It is being told that high alert has been declared mainly in the joint Adilabad district. Apart from this, police are engaged in intensive searches in agency areas. Apart from this, the police have kept a close watch on the irrigation areas of Pranahita and Godavari.

Due to suspicion of communication between senior Maoist leaders and armed forces in the border areas, the police have been alerted.

There has been patrolling in the irrigation areas of Godavari along with the coastal areas of Manchiriyal in Telangana and Kotapalli, Vemnapalli, Pranahita in Maharashtra. With this, Maoist official spokesperson Jagan has called for a Telangana call for bandh on Saturday, July 25, on the eve of the Secretary of State.
