Rani Mukherji's iconic role of a fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani in 2014 is considered as one of her most amazing performance. The actress is currently working on the sequel of the film titled Mardaani 2. Rani who is currently shooting in Rajasthan was invited to meet the Kota police force and their families at an informal gathering.
In the sequel, Rani's character has received a promotion and she will be seen as a Superintendent of Police. This meet was extra special for the actress as she met with the top female cop of the city, Dr Amrita Duhan, who is the Assistant Superintendent of Police.
In Mardaani 2 Rani reprises the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 2. The actress had delivered a knock-out performance in the original film, in which she embarks on a journey to uncover a huge child trafficking operation.
Days ago a still from Mardaani 2 was shared but the official Instagram account of Yash Raj Film in which Rani can be seen donning a police uniform the actress looks strong and powerful and with a no-nonsense expression, she looks ready to take down anything that gets in her way.
Right now there is a lot of anticipation on who her villain will be and the crime that Rani will try and solve in the sequel. The shoot of the film is currently going on in Rajasthan.
The film is produced by Aditya Chopra; this will be Rani’s next release after the global blockbuster Hichki. Mardaani 2 marks the directorial debut of Gopi Puthran, the writer of the first Mardaani film. It will be exciting to see Rani back in her fearless look.
