New Delhi:- Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Friday announced new features for the platform's instant messaging app on WhatsApp. According to Meta CEO, users will be able to transfer chat histories between devices conveniently and securely.

Currently, both devices must be running the same operating system for the transfer to take place. This new feature makes it easier and faster to transfer messages and large attachments from one device to another.

In a post shared on his official Facebook account, Meta CEO Zuckerberg said, "If you want to move your WhatsApp chats to a new phone, you can now move them more privately without leaving your device. ' said. Share chat history with QR code authentication. He also shared a demo video explaining the new process.

WhatsApp already allowed users to transfer their chat history from one phone to another, but a new chat transfer method using QR codes makes the process more secure. Currently, users can transfer chat history by using third-party apps or by upgrading the backup to cloud service.

However, with the new process, users no longer need to exit the app on one device to transfer data to another phone. The data is only kept and secured between the two devices without going through an app or a third-party cloud service.

Therefore, users do not need to back up their data to transfer chat histories and media files. To transfer via QR code, both devices must be physically connected to her WLAN and have location enabled. You can transfer chats and media from your old phone by going to Settings > Chats > Chat transfer > Scan QR code on your new device.

Mark Zuckerberg has come up with a new Whatsapp feature that will help the user to transfer the whole chat history to the other device which is running on the same operating system and the user can now save his/her chats safely on the device without losing anything from it.

This will help people to store their history and also Mark has shown all this in a video that he has uploaded on social media just by scanning a QR Code.
