Sanjay Dutt is one of the most renowned actors in Bollywood. He has been featured in various Blockbuster films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Vastaav, Khalanayak and others. Sanjay remained in news for his personal and professional life.  Sanjay was diagnosed with stage 4 of lung cancer back in August 2020, 

Sanjay Dutt in an event opens up about his Journey with Cancer. The actor recalls that he is not aware about his cancer. He said, "I had a backache and was treated with hot water bottle and pain-killers until one day I couldn't breather. I was taken to the hospital but the thing was that the cancer news was not broken to me properly." He said his wife, family or sisters were not around him.  He added, "I was alone and suddenly this guy comes and tells me 'you have cancer'."

Sanjay Dutt recalls his wife was in Dubai so it was Priya Dutt who rushed to him. He said, "My first reaction was that, once you hear something like this, your whole life reflects back at you. I have a history of cancer in my family. My mom died of pancreatic cancer, my wife died of brain cancer. So, the first thing I said was that, I don't want to take chemotherapy. If I'm supposed to die, I will just die but I don't want any treatment."

The actor also revealed that it was Hrithik Roshan's father Rakesh Roshan who suggested the doctor Sewant Limaye to him. He said, "I saw my family break down around me and I decided one night that if I fall sick or if I break down, they will fall sick and break down. So, I decided to fight it. The Munna Bhai MBBS actor said though a lot of people hide it, he chose to speak about it, even at the cost of his career so that he could help people in need.
