Maruti Suzuki announced on Monday that it has exported a total of 205,450 vehicles from its Indian production plants in 2021, the highest number ever. Maruti also used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to the Indian government's Make in India project.

Maruti also used the occasion to bolster its assertion that its vehicles are gaining traction in a number of regions across the world. "This achievement represents customers' worldwide confidence in the quality, technology, dependability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our vehicles," says the company "Maruti Suzuki's MD and CEO, Kenichi Ayukawa, stated. We appreciate our parent business, Suzuki Motor Corporation, and its global distributors for their reach and support, especially in these trying times."

India's largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti, exports its vehicles to more than 100 countries. The first batch of exports from this location was in 1986, with a shipment bound for Hungary. Since then, the business has shipped over 21.85 lakh units, with Latin America, Africa, and ASEAN nations serving as main target markets. Maruti Suzuki exports around 15 models from India to international markets. Baleno, Dzire, Swift, S-Presso, and Brezza are the most popular. While the business has just introduced the Celerio to its lineup, it also produces and exports Jimny from this location. Jimny off-roaders are now only available in international markets.
