Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2024 CNG variant of its popular Swift hatchback in India. This eco-friendly version of the Swift, priced between Rs. 8.19 lakh and Rs. 9.19 lakh (ex-showroom), is expected to help the company achieve its target of selling six lakh CNG vehicles by the end of the financial year 2024-25.
Key Details of the 2024 Swift CNG
Pricing and Availability: The new Swift CNG will be available for delivery starting October 12, 2024. The variant-wise pricing is as follows:
Engine and Performance: The Swift CNG is equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. In petrol mode, it produces 80bhp and 112Nm of torque, which decreases to 69bhp and 102Nm when running on CNG. The car is claimed to deliver a mileage of 32.85km/kg, marking a 6% improvement over the previous generation.
Transmission: It features a five-speed manual gearbox as the only transmission option.
Variants: The Swift CNG is available in three variants: VXi, VXi (O), and ZXi.
Design and Features: The 2024 Swift CNG retains its design and features from the previous model. Highlights include LED fog lights, LED projector headlamps, LED taillights, 15-inch alloy wheels, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
