Maruti Suzuki is working on its small car these days and is scheduled to be launched soon, named S-Presso. In the Indian market, it will compete with cars like the Renault Kwid and the Mahindra KUV100 NXT. The S-Presso will be based on Maruti Suzuki's Future-S concept, which the company introduced during the 2018 Auto Expo. Auto Car India reports that the company is set to launch S-Presso in India in September this year.
The S-Presso will be developed by Suzuki's Indian Research and Development team for your information. It will be designed and engineering at Maruti Suzuki's Rohtak plant in Haryana, which will also support Japan's Suzuki Motor. The car has been viewed several times during testing and has revealed a lot of information about its exterior. Since it will be offered as a micro-SUV, Maruti will have more ground clearances as a feature in the S-Presso. The S-Presso is expected to feature OTHER exterior elements such as LED headlamps and DRLs, as well as LED taillights, which will be available in its top-end variants.
The company can offer a SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system if it has interior features. It also gets an orange backlight and a high driver seat with a round instrument cluster. The Maruti S-Presso is powered by a 1.2-liter BS-6 petrol engine that is available in other Maruti cars as well. Diesel engines are less likely to get the option because Maruti is going to stop selling diesel cars by 2020 unless BS6 applies.
