The 2022 Baleno premium hatchback will be revealed next week by Maruti Suzuki. Before the launch on February 23, India's largest carmaker has teased the new Baleno's connected car technology.

The Suzuki Connect app, which will be paired with the Maruti Baleno in 2022, is shown in the teaser video. The app will have an upgraded telematics solution that promises to be smarter than the previous version and provide clients with a "slew of clever features." It will include over 40 connectivity options as well as Amazon Alexa voice commands.

According to the teaser video, the Suzuki Connect app will provide a range of vehicle-related data such as fuel gauge readings, miles to empty, odometer readings, and other crucial statistics. The software will also provide information on the car's general health, as well as the ability to turn on danger lights and lock or unlock the vehicle remotely. Apart from the connected car technology, the 2019 Baleno will come with a new 9-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and a Head Up Display (HUD) screen, all of which are segment firsts.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be updated in 2022, with a bigger front grille accompanied by a new pair of LED headlights with three-element DRLs. Apart from the redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels, the 2019 Baleno will have chrome treatment on the window lines on the sides. The car's back end will get new LED wraparound taillights, as well as a redesigned rear bumper for a more rounded appearance.

Other details about the new Baleno have also been revealed due to leaked pictures. The 2022 Baleno's cockpit will be redesigned with a new digital instrument cluster, an updated steering wheel, and new climate control switches. The upholstery will be replaced as well, giving the inside a new look. The Baleno, on the other hand, will not have a sunroof.

Maruti has begun taking reservations for the 2022 Baleno, which will be released next week. When it goes on sale in 2022, the Maruti Baleno will rival the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and Honda Jazz, among others.
