In the second week of March, Royal Enfield will officially launch their upcoming Scram 411 motorbike in India. The new model's official debut date has yet to be confirmed, however, details hint that it will most likely occur between March 11th and 15th.
This next Royal Enfield motorbike has a lot of buzz about it. It was also just discovered in the backyard of a dealer ahead of the launch, which is still weeks away.
The Scram 411 will be a successor of the Royal Enfield Himalayan ADV bike. According to the information provided, the bike will be a more road-focused version of the Himalayan, with improved road-cruising capabilities. However, the term 'Scram' indicates that it might be a scrambler version of the Himalayan. In addition to a brief, slow-mo video of dirt flying away, the company's invitation to the Scram's maiden ride event teases a short, slow-mo video of dirt flying away, which runs counter to the existing market notion of the bike as a highway-friendly, mile-munching Himalayan.
While more specific details will become available in the coming days, the bike is guaranteed to have smaller wheels with spokes shod with meaty, off-road tyres, a single-seat layout, a new front-end with a simple headlight setup, and a new tail end. The freshly obtained spy photographs also reveal the bike's brand new paint schemes, which include a base black and white colour scheme with a variety of colourful accents.
The motorcycle's heart will remain the same 411cc single-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 24.3 horsepower of maximum power. The transmission will be similar to that of the Himalayan. Given the varied character of Scram 411, it's possible that this unit will be tuned differently. When it is released, anticipate it to cost roughly Rs1.75 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
