Maruti Suzuki is bringing a 6-seater car to the country. The Maruti XL6 is scheduled to be launched on August 21. It is a premium MPV based on Artiga.The company will sell it from its premium dealership Nexa, while the 7-seat Artiga Arena is sold from the dealership. If the leaked reports, the Maruti XL6 will be sold in two variants (Zeta and Alpha). The second line features two capt seats, LED headlamps, LED DRLs (daytime running lights), LED tail lights like Artiga, black interior, height-equipped driver seat and rear washer-wiper. The variant will get the SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. The top variant Alpha will have reverse camera, leather seats, cruise control, dual-tone color scheme and black alloy wheels.

Maruti will launch the car in two gearbox options.It will have a 1.5-litre smart hybrid petrol engine with BS6. It will also offer a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque content automatic transmission. The Maruti XL6 will be slightly higher than the Artiga. It features a new grille with dual chrome strip, a silver skid plate with new dual-tone bumper, veal arches, side and rear plastic cladding and roof rails. The new car doors and rear gates are standard Artiga ones. However, these may see mild changes.
