Japan's well-known automobile manufacturer Nissan India plans to launch a new vehicle in the sub-4 meter SUV space to take on the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Venue. The company can name its vehicle Magnite. This SUV has been recently teased by the company in the virtual business event Nissan Next Mid term 2020-23 plan. Let's know in full detail

Nissan Magnite coming to compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Venue will come with a crossover profile and it can look like some kicks. According to the teaser, the Magnite will get dual-tone paint scheme, big Datsun-like grille, LED headlamps and split LED DRLs in the front. The company has LED tail lamps and a spoiler in the rear. The Magnite can be built on the Renault Triber platform and will be more specious. The Triber has a best-in-segment wheelbase 2,636mm, which makes it come with a bigger cabin. Nissan is yet to tease about the interior of the Magnite. Talking about some approximate features, the company can be given 360 degree camera support, remote engine start, big touchscreen, four airbags and a digital instrument cluster. Nissan is unlikely to be given a sunroof, which is being offered in most SUVs in this segment.

The company can only provide petrol engines in Magnite. The company can give a 1.0 liter naturally aspirated unit that is available in the Triber. This engine generates power of 72PS and torque of 96Nm. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Talking about the second engine, the company can also give a 1.0 liter turbo engine in it, which will give power of 100 PS. The company can also offer a manual option with CVT in it. Nissan's new SUV company can launch on the festive season. However, if there is a similar lockdown due to coronavirus, then the company may even postpone its launch. After its launch in the Indian market, Vitara will give a tough competition to the Brezza, Venue, EcoSport, Nexon and XUV300. The estimated price of this SUV can be kept at Rs 7 lakh. Magnite can be launched around the launch of Kia Sonet and Renault HBC (Kiger) in the festive season.
