Mathura: Unknown fever has created havoc in Koh village, 30 km from Mathura in UP. About 8 children died of fever last week. As soon as the health department came to know about the matter, Dr. Rachna Gupta, Deputy District Collector and Chief Medical Officer of Sadar area along with a team of health department reached the village last Monday and took blood samples of the patients. So that the cause of fever can be ascertained.

On the other hand, the villagers told Deputy District Collector Sanjeev Verma, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rachna Gupta, and Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dilip Kumar that "fever has been advancing for the last eight to ten days.'' They also said, "In the last four days, eight children have died of fever.'' At the same time, the CMO said that every patient in the village is being examined and blood samples of all are being taken. He says the situation will be clear edifice only after the report. In the case, villagers have alleged that despite being informed, the administration did not take timely steps and due to this the children lost their lives.

The health department, on the other hand, says blood samples have been taken and the report is now awaited. Let me tell all of you that a similar case came to light from Lakhimpur Kheri on 7th August. In fact, three people died of high fever in the Bhira-Bijua area and the children who died were 11 to 14 years old. On the other hand, doctors were calling it a viral fever. Talking about the villagers, the villagers were saying it about having meningitis. Moreover, the Bijua CHC in charge had said that the viral fever season is going on these days.
