New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati has said on Monday that the government should answer the questions by holding an open discussion in Parliament on the violence in the country's capital Delhi. In a tweet, BSP supremo Mayawati compared the Delhi violence to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and said that it is very sad not to discuss the violence.

Mayawati tweeted from her official Twitter handle saying, "Just like the horrific Sikh riots of 1984, the very violent riots in Delhi have shaken the entire nation. So it would have been better starting today In the session of the Parliament, the Central Government would postpone all the work and answer the questions of the public by holding an open debate on the matter. But it is sad not to do so. "

On the other hand, before the commencement of the budget session of Parliament today, opposition parties have fiercely protested against the central government on Monday. The Congress protested near the Gandhi statue on the issue of Delhi violence and sought a reply from PM Narendra Modi. During this time, former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi also joined the protest, where party leaders have demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
