'BSP will not bow down to casteist govt..,' Mayawati roars on Ambedkar Jayanti

Lucknow: On the birth anniversary of Constitution-maker and Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has said that the BSP's agitation is not going to bow down before the opposition parties and their governments, which are plagued by casteist mentality. Mayawati said casteist governments do not give concessions to leaders of the neglected sections to do good to their society.

Former UP CM Mayawati said that if the leader of the neglected society tries to do something for the people of his society, he is thrown out like a milk fly, as has been happening here so far, so the condition of these sections is still forced and helpless and it is very sad. On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh BJP is celebrating Ambedkar Jayanti as social harmony day. BJP's central and UP government ministers will participate in the Ambedkar Jayanti programme to be held in the state.

It has been reported that BJP offices and government ministers, MLAs, MPs and all office bearers will garland Ambedkar's photographs at their offices. President Ram Nath Kovind has paid tributes to Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar on Ambedkar Jayanti. In a tweet, he wrote, "A strong advocate of social justice, Babasaheb laid the foundation of modern India as a constitutional architect. Let us contribute to building an inclusive society by following his ideal of Indian before, Indian later and finally Indian as well.''
