Lucknow: BSP president Mayawati has attacked the central and state governments over the lockdown. On Tuesday, she said that the condition of Dalits, OBCs has become more pathetic due to the lockdown implemented across the country regarding the Coronavirus. She said that this was the reason that people from many parts of the country were forced to flee.

Mayawati said that 90 percent of the migrants were Dalits and extremely backward people, while only 10 percent were from other sections of the society. In her address on the 129th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, Mayawati said that Dalits and poor were ignored by the state governments during the lockdown. Governments did not make any arrangements for these. Because of which people of this section thought it right to flee to their homes.

Mayawati said that after this the governments took these people to the shelter home by trucks and buses. She said that due to Corona, the situation of Dalits and poor has become very pathetic.
