Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former CM Mayawati on Friday (September 23) lashed out at the Yogi government, including the RSS and the BJP. She has questioned the BJP and the Yogi government while tweeting. Mayawati said in her tweet that the Yogi government is not able to tolerate namaz in the open space, what will change by calling Bhagwat the Father of the Nation?

BSP supremo Mayawati wrote in a tweet, 'After RSS chief Shri Mohan Bhagwat went to a mosque/madrasa in Delhi yesterday and met the Ulemas and then made him call himself 'Father of the Nation' and 'Rashtrarishi,' Will there be a change in the negative attitude and behaviour of the BJP and their governments towards Muslim society and their mosques and madrasas?

In another tweet, Mayawati said, "The UP government is not able to bear the compulsion of offering namaz in a few minutes alone in the open space and is also bent on interfering in private madrasas, ignoring government madrasas, but they must also consider what the deep silence of the RSS chief is coming out of this."

On Thursday, Imam Umar Ahmed Ilyasi, the head of the All India Imam Organisation, had called RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat the father of the nation and the Rashtrarishi. On Thursday, Bhagwat visited a mosque on Kasturba Gandhi Marg in central Delhi. Ilyasi said Bhagwat visited the madrasa on his invitation.
