Lucknow: Demonstration is still going on on the frontiers of farmers against the agricultural laws brought by the central government. The fortifications have been made on the borders of Delhi amid fears of farmers joining the protest. The farmers have announced to block Chakka on 6 February. In view of the demonstration of farmers, barricading has been done at Ghazipur, Singhu and Tikari border. Barbed wire and nails have been installed on all the borders of Delhi. Cement walls have been built in some places.
Opposition parties are constantly attacking the government for the fortifications made for the farmers. BSP supremo and former CM Mayawati have also targeted the government. Mayawati targeted the central government by tweeting on Wednesday. Mayawati wrote in a tweet, "Due to the government's attitude towards agitating farmers on the borders of Delhi, especially in the budget session of Parliament, the important issues of public interest have been very important since the very first day. The centre should normalize the situation by fulfilling the demand of farmers."
In another tweet, Mayawati wrote, "The tremendous barricading of barbed wire and nails etc. on the borders of Delhi has been done to spread terror among millions of agitated peasant families. It is not appropriate if instead of taking such action to stop terrorists etc. It will be better if we are on the borders of the country. "
