Jaipur: After Karauli in Rajasthan, reports of a murderous clash between the two parties have emerged from Jodhpur, the home district of chief minister Ashok Gehlot. The incident took place at The Jalori Gate, where the largest mosque in the whole of Jodhpur is located. According to information, there were some Muslim youths putting up their flag at the intersection late at night, when there was a protest from the other side, the beating started, and the stone-pelting started taking place.

Later, the police reached the spot and took over the situation and resorted to lathi-charge and chased away people from both sides. In view of the situation, internet services have been suspended from the area and RAC personnel including police of about 10 police stations are deployed there. More than a dozen people were injured in the incident. After the violent atmosphere, Mufti Azam Sher Mohammad appealed that Muslims should offer prayers only in the mosque near their homes.

However, there has been no clear response from the police on the whole issue, but it is being reported that the dispute started over the flags, banners and loudspeakers being put up at the intersection late at night. Stone pelting was done when the other side protested.

Mayor of Jodhpur West Vanita Seth told the truth:-

According to a report by OpIndia, West Jodhpur Mayor Vanita Seth said, "Around 11:30-12:00 pm at the Jalori gate, Muslim people were putting up their flags on the occasion of Eid. Earlier, there were flags of Parshuram Jayanti. The police came and said that today is their (Muslim) festival, so some journalists and people there voluntarily removed the saffron flags. Only one flag was allowed to remain which was on top of the freedom fighter Bissa ji.

After this, when the Muslim youths came in the night, they pasted the tape on the statue of Bissa ji and started putting up their Islamic flag, then the other side stopped that do whatever else has to be done, but what are you doing all these things. At this, they (Muslims) raised pro-Pakistan and Allah-hu-Akbar slogans and started pelting stones when they asked questions. People from the other side also gathered, but then 200-300 people came from the Muslim settlement. The police resorted to lathi-charge to clear the crowd in which many people were injured. This was followed by barricading. The mayor alleged that he was also lathi-charged by the police. When he questioned the police in this regard, the answer was that he had orders from Jaipur. On the other hand, the ACP also gave her the opposite answer that she will do a job here, no one can spoil her. According to the mayor, the complaint has not yet been given in this regard, as there are festivals of both the communities.
