The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a notification in connection with the fake allotment letters for NEET UG counselling 2020 being issued and circulated on social media.
According to authorities from the MCC, no such letter has been issued by them and the students have been advised not to rely on such fake letters and also not to forward or share such fake information.Â
Candidates qualified for the NEET UG 2020 counselling can visit the official website of the medical counselling committee to check the allotment letter and the notification issued for the same. A direct link to check the notification is also provided below.
NEET UG Counselling Allotment Letter - Official Notification
The allotment of seats for the NEET UG 2020 counselling is conducted based on the merit of the students and the choices entered during the application process. The allotment letter is available on the official website only for those candidates who have been allotted seats as per the allotment list released. The notification further states that the Medical Counselling Committee does not allot seats for NEET based on nominations. The MCC in its notification released has further stated that action will be taken against any person indulging in malicious practices and the students have also been advised to lodge a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell or an FIR in case they receive such letters.
