Teacher's Day is celebrated every year on 5 September in India with the aim of making people aware of the importance of the teacher. On this day, the birthday of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, is also celebrated and his birthday is celebrated as Teachers' Day.
