Meerut: An attempt like the 'Agra model' to control the growing infection of the corona virus has also failed in Meerut. The increasing cases of corona here have increased the administration's concern. On Sunday, after the corona test report of 25 patients came positive, 14 new cases were also reported on Monday. These are the highest number of cases in Meerut for two consecutive days in the last 41 days.

Seven people have also died due to corona in Meerut. 24 people have been infected with the Corona virus here only from the vegetable market. While giving information, District Trust Officer of Meerut, Dr Vishwas Chaudhary said that on Sunday, a total of 238 samples were sent from the district for examination. Of these, 25 late reports were found positive. In these, one of Kidwai Nagar was killed.

On Monday, 14 more coronas have been found infected in Meerut. After this, the total number of patients in Meerut has increased to 155. CMO Dr. Rajkumar on Monday said that Meerut was declared as a Containment Zone due to rising cases of corona infection on Sunday. After declaring the Containment Zone, the entire city of Meerut has become the hotspot of Corona. According to the CMO, 24 new cases are related to the vegetable market. This includes 14 cases of Monday and 10 of Sunday.
