Meet Lord John Clive the ruthless villain of 'Thugs of Hindostan'

New Delhi [India] Sep 20 (NT): The makers of much-anticipated Diwali offering 'Thugs of Hindostan', have now revealed the look of the film's villain character on Thursday. Keeping up with the ground-breaking approach of introducing the lead characters, today the character of Lord John Clive- the highly cunning and brutal commander of the East India Company introduced.

The role played by British actor Llyod Owen. His character will be depicted the cruel face of the British Raj in India. His character is also a symbol of cold, evil ambitions.

In the released motion poster, Owen can be seen sitting on a throne with dominating appearance .He is sported in a white military jacket with golden embroidery and shoulder embellishments, teamed with paire of white pants. The look shows the wickedness of villian and was completed with a pair of knee-high boots and a bulky regal moustache.

'Thugs of Hindostan' is inspired by Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel 'Confessions of a Thug' . The movie is all about a gang who posed a serious challenge to the British kingdom in India  during the early 19th century.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jackie Shroff, and Shashank Arora in lead roles. So far makers has unveiled look of megastar Amitabh Bachchan as Khudabaksha and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira .The film is all set to hit the silver screen on November 8.
