Shillong: Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik has come out in support of agitating farmers over agricultural laws. He has categorically stated that "don't send farmers empty-handed from Delhi by pressuring and insulting them. Because I know the warlords, for 300 years, they don't forget anything. No one can save a country where farmers and young people are not justified."

Meghalaya Governor Satyapal had arrived in his home district of Baghpat today. He attended the felicitation ceremony at Qasba Amnagar Sarai here. Speaking from the stage here, he termed the situation of farmers in the country as poor and said the government should think about farmers. Because the farmers of the country are unhurt. He said that if the Minimum Support Price (MSP) is made within the ambit of the law, he will end the farmers' agitation.

Governor Malik claimed to have stopped the arrest of farmer leader Rakesh Tikat and said that when I heard the clamour for the arrest of farmer leader Rakesh Tikat, he called and stopped it. He said that I assure that the farther the farmers' case will go as far as they go. Because I know the farmer's problem. Farmers in the country are very bad.
