MUMBAI: On Tuesday, a corpse of a 40-year-old woman was found from a deserted area in Shahapur, Kalyan. The corpse had injury marks on her private parts. According to the reports, the departed has been recognized as Sunita Shelke.

Leading to the invistagitaion in the case Mumbai police have seized the victim's husband Santosh who has admitted the crime. The arrested murdered Sunita as he suspected the woman of having an illicit relationship with other men's.

According to Shahapur police officer, "Santosh is unemployed and had frequent fights with the victim. On Monday night he killed her and then dumped her body,"

As per the reports in TOI, the victim's corpse has been sent for post-mortem. Meantime, the victim's family members have been informed about the episode. As the body of the victim was found with the injury marks on her private parts, police are also investigating in the direction of the rape before the murder. Police officials have stated that it may be possible that the accused has sexually assaulted the victim before killing.

The real thing behind the death will be cleared soon based on the autopsy report. A case of killing under the IPC section has been filed against Santosh.
