The all-new CLE is Mercedes-Benz's replacement for the coupe and cabriolet versions of the C-Class and E-Class. This is a result of the brand consolidating its combustion models as the emphasis increasingly shifts towards electrics and is offered as a coupe and cabriolet.
The older E-Class coupe and cabriolet models' design cues were used to create the Mercedes-Benz CLE, which has a completely Mercedes appearance. Long grille, long bonnet, sculpted LED headlamps with LED DRLs, smooth coupe roofline, and wide rear end with large LED taillamps are all present in the front. The CLE coupe has a 25mm longer wheelbase than the C-Class coupe and surpasses its rival, the BMW 4 Series Coupe, in terms of size at 4,850mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,428mm high.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLE's cabin has a 2+2 seat configuration. Integrated headrests, heating and ventilation, lumbar support, and complete electrical adjustability are all features of the specially designed front seats for the vehicle. The 12.3-inch instrument display and the 11.9-inch infotainment screen were taken from the C-Class. Particularly for passengers in the back seats, Mercedes claims to have increased headroom in the CLE compared to the C-Class coupe.
Like the majority of Mercedes-Benz models, the CLE is available internationally with a variety of engines. The CLE 200d's 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine produces 197 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, while the CLE 200's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine produces 204 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. The CLE 300 4Matic uses the same engine, which produces 258 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, while the top-of-the-line CLE 450 4Matic uses a 3.0 litre six cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 380 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Every engine in the range comes with a 48V mild hybrid system that includes a 23 bhp and 200 Nm electric motor to help the internal combustion engine accelerate.
In the upcoming months, Mercedes-AMG will make the high-performance CLE variants public. Despite the lack of information regarding a Mercedes-Benz CLE launch in India, we anticipate the brand will introduce the vehicle there in 2019.
