By creating a modified Mercedes-AMG SL63 with 700 horsepower and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque, Brabus honours the company's founder Bodo Buschmann. Only 25 of the Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition are available. Each item is $369,916 (336,500 euros) in value.

The most recent SL63 has a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that is factory-rated at 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. This means that Brabus' PowerXtra B40S-750 performance upgrade and 52-millimeter turbos enable it to wring out an extra 123 horsepower and 74 lb-ft from the engine. a multi-mode stainless steel exhaust with four carbon/titanium tailpipes.

The Brabus 750 can reach 62 mph in 3.3 seconds thanks to the extra power, and it has an electronic top speed cap of 196 mph. The stock SL63 accelerates to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 196 mph.

Brabus replaces the front fascia, trunk lip spoiler, and rear diffuser with a subdued carbon fibre body kit. The Bodo Buschmann Edition has three-spoke wheels, which are less common among tuners today. They have front and back measurements of 21 and 22 inches, respectively.

The interior receives the company's Masterpiece treatment. Trim made of carbon fibre and black leather that is embossed and quilted. The badge on the centre console bears Bodo Buschmann's signature.

In 1977, Bodo Buschmann established Brabus. He particularly loved the SL-Class models from the 1990s, like the company's tuned 7.3 S with 574 horsepower and 571 lb-ft of torque.

Not just Brabus but other tuners are developing the new SL63. Mansory provides the SL 700 R Limited, which has been upgraded with a new intercooler, air filter, and software to produce 707 horsepower and 689 lb-ft. The nine-speed automatic has been modified to provide quicker gear changes. A more aggressive body kit is also available.
