New Delhi: Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has recently unveiled a new initiative aimed at nurturing the growth of extended reality (XR) technologies in India. The Meta Reality Labs India Grant, a fund totaling $250,000, has been established to provide financial backing and mentorship to Indian startups and developers actively engaged in XR projects.
XR technologies, encompassing virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), are witnessing a surge in popularity worldwide. Recognizing India's potential as a significant contributor to the XR market, Meta has designed the Meta Reality Labs India Grant to equip Indian companies with the necessary skills and resources to thrive in this domain.
The Meta Reality Labs India Grant invites startups and developers in India who are working on XR projects with the potential for positive impact in the country to apply for funding. Eligible applicants must be based in India and possess a functional prototype of their XR project.
