New Delhi:- Thousands of US users of social media services Instagram and Facebook and messaging app WhatsApp reported service outages on Monday, according to Downdetector.com. Up to 13,000 users reported problems accessing Instagram, and approximately 5,400 and 1,870 users experienced disruptions on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Downdetector tracks defects by compiling status reports from many sources, including user-submitted bugs on the platform. This outage may have affected more users. Meta did not immediately respond to Reuters inquiries about the outage.
Meta said last month that its social media apps Facebook and Instagram had restored services after an outage of more than two hours that affected thousands of users.

However, the problem of disability was not global. In India, Facebook and Instagram worked well for most users. Additionally, Meta recently rescinded policies put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19-related misinformation on Facebook and Instagram.
