Visakhapatnam: In Andhra Pradesh, there is a possibility of heavy rains with thunderstorms within the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in West Godavari, Krishna Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts, while thunderstorms are expected in Srikakulam, Vijayanagar, Visakhapatnam, Anantapur and Kurnool districts. The administration has issued a notification to the people to remain alert.

With this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Lakshadweep. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in many seaside areas of India. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in the coastal areas of Kerala, Mahe and Karnataka. Along with this, warnings of heavy rains have been issued in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karikal, Konkan and Goa. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed apprehension that there may be heavy rains in some parts of Karnataka.

Meanwhile, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Meghalaya, South Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are expected to lose electricity along with rain. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning at various places in Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala.
