A 26-year-old Indian sweeper has been arrested in Dubai city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), one of the world's richest countries, for stealing watches worth $ 2 million (about Rs 14 crore). With great precision, he had vanished several precious watches one by one from the shop where he used to work. The involvement of two Pakistani nationals in this case has also been revealed. Currently both are absconding.
According to foreign media, an Indian scavenger accused of theft was produced in a local court on Wednesday. During interrogation, he confessed his crime. He told that he used to put the watches secretly in the dustbin of the shop first. Later, during the cleaning, he was able to take these watches out of the shop.
Recently a PTI report about this case came in which a strange incident of theft came to light. According to the report, Indian-origin banker Paras Shah was suspended for stealing sandwiches from the office canteen. 31-year-old Paras was in the top position at Citigroup in London. He used to earn more than nine crore rupees annually, including salary and bonus.
