Kutch: Tremors of magnitude 3.7 have been felt in Kutch district of Gujarat this morning. Talking about this, officials said, "No loss of life and property has been reported during this period. At the same time, an official of the Gandhinagar-based Seismic Research Institute said, "A 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 7.25 am, 19 km northeast of Dudhai, at a depth of 11.8 km".

On the other hand, the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority said, "Kutch district falls under a highly risk area in case of earthquakes. The district received a devastating 6.9 magnitude earthquake in January 2001". Let us tell you all that earlier on 28th June, mild tremors were felt in Pithoragarh and adjoining areas of Uttarakhand. The District Disaster Management Office said that the earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale was felt at Pithoragarh, Kanda and Bageshwar at 12.19 pm.

Let us tell all of you that the earthquake was centered at a depth of 10 kilometres in Pithoragarh district. However, it did not cause any loss of life or property. Earlier, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake was felt in Ladakh on June 28 itself. However, there was no damage caused by the earthquake here. Officials had said, "The earthquake struck Leh at 6.10 am. The epicenter was at a depth of 18 kilometers in the ground at 34.49 degrees North Latitude and 78.43 degrees East Longitude".
