Chandigarh: Nirmal Kaur wife of legendary Indian farrata runner Milkha Singh, passed away from corona. Nirmal Milkha Singh was 85 years old. In fact, she was the Sports Director (Women) in the Punjab Government and a former captain of the Indian Women's National Volleyball Team. Under Mili Jankari, husband Milkha Singh could not attend her last rites as she was admitted to the hospital. Recently, informing about the passing away of Nirmal Milkha, his family has said, "We are very sad to inform you that Nirmal Milkha Singh passed away yesterday at 4 pm on 13th June due to covid."

At the same time, the family in its statement said, "Nirmalji, a women's sports director in the Punjab government and former captain of the Indian women's national volleyball team, fought bravely against Corona till the end. She was the backbone of the Milkha family." On the other hand, it is sad that Milkha Singh could not attend her cremation as he is still in the ICU. Now the family has expressed gratitude to all for the solidarity and prayer during the fight, which gave them the strength to bravely face it. Nirmal Milkha was born on October 8, 1938 in Sheikhpura, Pakistan.

She was the captain of the Punjab volleyball team on three different occasions. She also visited Sri Lanka in 1955 as part of the India volleyball team, where she met Milkha Singh. The two then got married in 1962. Tell you that he has son Jeev Milkha and a daughter in his family. Daughter Mona Milkha Singh is a doctor at Metropolitan Hospital Centre in New York.
