Washington : The number of people infected with new Omicron variants of corona is growing rapidly in many countries of the world, including britain and Israel. According to the British Health Department, 663 new cases of Omicron have been registered in the UK in the last 24 hours, while the number of infected people in Israel has increased by 57 per cent. The number of people infected with the Omicron in britain has increased to 1898, while in Israel the number of infected people has increased from 35 to 55.

According to experts, if the current rate of infection in the UK continues to be the same, the number of people infected with Omicron could increase to 1 million by the end of the month. At the same time, more than half of the total corona cases in the UK will be due to this new variant. In the UK, 81 per cent of people above 12 years of age have received both doses of the vaccine. However, experts at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have warned that by April next year, omicron could kill 25,000 to 75,000 British citizens.

According to the Israeli government, the total Omicron infected in the country have the highest number of returnees from foreign travel. Out of a total of 55 infected, 36 people have returned from a trip to South Africa, Britain, France, the US, UAE, Belarus, Hungary, Italy or Namibia. At the same time, 11 other infected passengers came in contact with them and fell ill. There are eight people who have not been contacted by anyone who has travelled abroad.
