The debate over nepotism is common and started taking abuzz after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Apart from Bollywood, Tollywood and Bengali film world too also made the headlines over the favouritism debate after the controversial video of Sreelekha Mitra posted on Youtube. While talking about this to beautiful Bengali actress Mimi Chakraborty, she also put her point on this.

While talking about nepotism and favouritism, the 'Gangster' actress said that when the kids of business tycoons take charge of their ancestors business, nobody talks of nepotism. This is same with the politicians but everybody points out at the film industry. She further said, "I don't understand why people only question actors for nepotism. Yes, if everyone promotes someone despite having talent, then there is a problem." Talking further about this, Mimi said that if we talk about Alia Bhatt, she has given many big hits. People buy tickets and even watch her films but why they are blaming her now? She also said that she doesn't have any godfather in the industry. She is found a small town and whatever she is today is because of her own talent. the actress also said that she had never faced any favouritism in the industry.

Talking about being the target of trolls, the 'Villain' actress said that she doesn't want to change herself because of someone else's mentality. Talking about the work front, Mimi last appeared in Debaloy Bhattacharya directed film ‘Dracula Sir’ and Anshuman Pratyush directed ‘SOS Kolkata’. Recently Mimi also featured in a music video 'Tomar Khola Hawa'.
