Lucknow: The CBI today raided the hideouts of Gayatri Prajapati, a former mining minister. At present, 22 locations including the residence of Gayatri Prajapati have been raided by the CBI probing the mining scam on Wednesday. The interrogation of Gayatri's family is also being examined. To make you aware that Gayatri Prajapati has been the mining minister in the SP government of Akhilesh Yadav and has also been accused of illegal mining several times. He is also accused of the gang rape of a woman and in this case, he went for bail in the Allahabad High Court, but his plea was dismissed by the courts.

According to the sources, former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav may also be probed in the case. Let's say he was Chief Minister of 2012 to 2017. The case of illegal mining came out only during the middle of 2012-2016. Homologous to the information received from CBI sources, 22 tenders issued by the up government between 2012-2016 are under investigation and 14 are tenders which are between the chief ministership of Akhilesh Yadav for the period 2012-13. According to the information, there are 14 cases in the 22 case which came during the time of Akhilesh Yadav's mining minister while the rest of the case belonged to Gayatri Prajapati when he was also mining minister.
