Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday called for the public to partake in a citizen survey being conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for the development of a new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for school education.

The NCF provides guidelines for creating curricula, textbooks, and teaching methods throughout the nation. The online survey consists of a total of 10 questions, each of which has five possible answers. The issues raised include how to modernise and skill-orient education and also raise the status of teachers in the nation.

The minister said, "creation of a lively, dynamic, inclusive and futuristic National Curriculum Framework is crucial for merging cultural-rootedness together with global vision, freeing education from colonial hangover, and instilling a stronger feeling of pride in our next generations."

I urge all residents to take part in the citizen survey being conducted by NCF in order to create the NayeBharatKa NayaCurriculum. In a series of tweets, Pradhan said that a dynamic national curriculum framework in line with NEP 2020 will be crucial to achieve Viksit Bharat.

The National Council of Education and Research Training (NCERT) and the education ministry are conducting the Digital Survey for National Curriculum (DiSaNC) as a part of the public consultation process for the creation of NCF.
The Survey also ensure participants about the values they believe children should learn throughout their time in school, the languages they should start learning in first grade, and how parents view teachers' roles in the overall development of their children.

It has also sought the stakeholders' viewpoints on subject areas children need to study in classes 6 to 8 (secondary stage) and classes 3 to 5 (preparatory stage) apart from their take on the focus of learning by children in the age group of 3-8 years (Foundational Stage).
