New Delhi: Union Tourism and Culture Minister Prahlad Patel has started functioning of the ministry by arriving in his office from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had instructed all the ministers last week to start work by reaching their offices from Monday.

It is noteworthy that till now the functioning of ministries was mostly closed due to lock down. Only a handful of officers and employees were coming in to do the most important work. Although the lock-down may not have ended yet, work has resumed in the ministries since PM Narendra Modi gave instructions to gradually start functioning in all ministries.
Therefore, with all precautions and social distancing, from today, all the ministers of the Modi government will reach their ministry and start work slowly. The Central Government has already issued notification for employees and officers. Shift wise officers will reach the ministry only in small numbers, so that there is no overcrowding in the ministries. Prior to this, Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju has also reached his office and took charge. Vehicles of ministers reaching the ministry are also being sanitized.
