Pakistan's Religious Affairs Minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor died in a road accident in Islamabad. It is being said that the minister was driving his car alone. Due to this, his car was dangerously hit by another vehicle. The pig was taken to the Polyclinic Hospital, where he was declared dead. The police said in a statement that "Five persons present in the vehicle involved in the accident have been taken into custody and an investigation has been initiated."

Islamabad police said in a statement that Minister Abdul Shakoor's car collided with a Hilux Revo on Saturday while going from Marriott to Sachivalaya Chowk. The minister was taken to the Polyclinic Hospital, where he was declared dead. "Five persons present in the vehicle involved in the accident have been taken into custody and an investigation has been initiated," the statement said.

Islamabad's Inspector General of Police, Akbar Nasir Khan, told the media that the minister was driving his car alone when it collided with another vehicle. "He died on the spot due to a head injury," Khan said. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. Significantly, Shakoor was a senior member of Maulana Fazlur Rehman's Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), whose party is part of the ruling coalition. The JUI-F has said that the funeral prayers of the minister will be offered on Sunday at Tajbi Khel area in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
